CK Flash Website Design

UI Design

The origins of CK Flash was from a weekly internal communication e-newsletter called “CK Friday Flash,” which was sent out to corporate staff, franchisees, and company-operated locations of Comfort Keepers. This e-newsletter updated the entire staff of current news and announcements, upcoming events, courses for career development, and vendor showcase. Additionally, I mocked up responsive versions of how the website would lay out on Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile.

Marketing management decided it was time to rebrand it and renamed to “CK Flash,” During the brainstorming phase, I mentioned to the team that the website the articles were linked to needed to be updated as well. From that point on, I was in charge of creating the entire concept and link navigation for this website and redesigning it to look up-to-date with our newest brand style. I also made sure the user experience of this website made sense and easy to access the articles in a quick manner.

In the end, a simple and scaled-down version of a “newsfeed” type of website was created and I worked closely with a web developer to send over the deliverables they needed through Adobe XD.

My original concept design (in the old corporate brand style)

My original concept for the CK Flash website was for it to be a major “newsfeed” that would be comparable to sites like CNN and Yahoo. The hierarchy reflects a design that prominently shows one major article highlight for the week and other articles following that. I also incorporated a navigation section with archived links to older articles.
